Parantezdeki ipucunu veya belirtilen yapıyı kullanarak boşlukları tamamlayın. Birden fazla doğal cevap varsa bunları da düşünebilirsiniz.

An Earlier Choice

Deniz is preparing for a project that requires German. She chose a different optional subject at university, so she cannot use German confidently now. She says that if she had studied it then, she would have more opportunities today. Mert points out that she can still learn. He understands her concern: he is generally uncomfortable speaking in front of large groups. If he were more confident, he would have volunteered to present their proposal at last week’s meeting. They recognise that these sentences connect different times. Deniz is imagining a past choice and a present result; Mert is imagining a different general characteristic and a past result. Both decide to use the discussion to plan their next step rather than give up.
