The School Culture Afternoon

Our school organised a culture afternoon last Friday. Each group prepared a small table about a country. Miray’s group presented Poland and used the words Polish and Warsaw on their poster. Mert’s group prepared a poster about Italy. They explained that Italian can be a nationality word and a language name. The class also explored food vocabulary. Some students prepared cards about appetisers, main courses and desserts. They did not cook at school; they used photos and ingredient lists. At four o’clock, the visitors watched a short dance show. Miray enjoyed the music and asked questions about the posters. Mert tried a language game and answered three questions correctly. After the event, the students cleaned their tables and thanked the visitors. They did not visit a museum that day.
