Bu konuda 50 ile 100 arasındaki İngilizce sıra sayılarını okumayı, yazmayı ve cümle içinde kullanmayı öğreneceğiz. Bir kişinin veya nesnenin sırasını belirtirken, yarışma sonuçlarından bahsederken ya da bir listede kaçıncı sırada olduğunu söylerken ordinal numbers kullanırız.
Bu içerik, 2026–2027 7. sınıf İngilizce yeni müfredatındaki Tema 2 konu ve öğrenme hedefleri dikkate alınarak Semay English tarafından özgün olarak hazırlanmıştır. Ders kitabındaki metin veya etkinliklerin kopyası değildir.
Ordinal Numbers Ne Demek?
Ordinal numbers, bir kişi veya nesnenin sırasını gösteren sayılardır.
Türkçedeki:
- birinci
- ikinci
- üçüncü
- dördüncü
- ellinci
- yetmiş beşinci
- yüzüncü
gibi ifadelere karşılık gelir.
Örnek
fifty → elli
fiftieth → ellinci
seventy → yetmiş
seventieth → yetmişinci
one hundred → yüz
one hundredth → yüzüncü
Cardinal Numbers ve Ordinal Numbers Arasındaki Fark
Bir önceki konuda öğrendiğimiz cardinal numbers, bir şeyin miktarını gösterir.
Ordinal numbers ise sırasını gösterir.

⚠️ 11, 12 ve 13 Kuralını Unutmayın
Genel olarak sonu 1, 2 veya 3 ile biten sayılar st, nd, rd alır.
Ancak 11th, 12th ve 13th istisnadır.
Bu nedenle:

ama örneğin:
111th olur.
