A Cleaner Trail

Last Sunday, Miray and Mert went hiking with their school group. They brought water in reusable bottles and took a map. Near the river, Miray saw several plastic bags on the ground. The group did not leave the rubbish there. They told their teacher, and the teacher organised a short clean-up in a suitable area. After the walk, the class made a poster about the problem. Mert wrote, “We must protect the river. We mustn’t leave litter on the trail.” Miray added a useful idea: “We don’t have to buy a new bottle for every walk. We can refill a reusable one.” Their teacher asked each group to explain one environmental problem and one solution. Everyone had to listen to the other groups before asking questions.
