My New Baby Sister

Hello! My name is Mert. I am eight years old.

I have a new baby sister. Her name is Miray. She is one month old.

When I first saw Miray, I was very happy. She was very small. She had little hands and little feet. She slept all day.

Now Miray lives at home with us. She sleeps a lot. Sometimes she cries. Sometimes she is quiet. I like to look at her.

Every morning, I say, “Good morning, Miray!” I talk to her every day. I tell her about my school. I tell her about my friends and my toys.

My mother and father are very busy now. They take care of Miray all day. At first, I was a little sad. My parents had less time for me.

One day, my father talked to me. He said, “Mert, you are a big brother now. We love Miray, and we love you too.”

I felt happy after that.

I like helping my mother. Sometimes I bring a diaper. Sometimes I bring a blanket. My mother says, “Thank you, Mert.” I feel good when I help.

Miray is very small now. She cannot play with me yet. But I wait every day. I want her to grow up.

One day, I want to play games with her. I want to read books to her. I want to teach her how to ride a bike. I want to make her laugh.

I love my baby sister very much. She is small, but she is very special.

I am happy to be her big brother.
