I FELT EMBARRASSED😳

My name is Deniz, and I am twenty-nine years old. Last Tuesday, I had one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, and it happened in a very ordinary place: the supermarket.

I finished work at around six o’clock and stopped at a supermarket near my home because I needed a few things for dinner. I was tired and hungry, so I wanted to finish my shopping quickly and go home.

I bought some vegetables, pasta, yoghurt, and a bottle of water. Then I went to the checkout and waited in a long line. There were several people behind me, and everyone looked tired after work.

When it was my turn, the cashier put all my things into a bag, and I took my bank card from my wallet. I touched the machine with my card, but nothing happened.

I tried again, and the machine showed a red message. The payment did not work.

At first, I thought there was a problem with the machine, so I tried my card one more time. It still did not work.

I started to feel nervous because people were waiting behind me, and I felt like everyone was looking at me.

Then I opened my banking app on my phone and understood the problem. I was using my old bank card.

My new card was in another part of my wallet.

I felt very embarrassed, and my face turned red. I quickly found the correct card and paid for my shopping.

The cashier smiled and told me not to worry, but I still wanted to leave the supermarket as quickly as possible.

When I walked outside, I started laughing at myself because the problem was actually very small.

On my way home, I thought about the moment again and realized something important.

Sometimes we feel embarrassed because we think everyone is watching us, but most people forget these small moments very quickly.
